Military R-ATP Requirements

Military pilots are eligible for Restricted ATP certificates, which require fewer hours of flight time. Direct Connect Flight Academy can also help you fund your training with VA Benefits.

  • 750 hours Total Flight Time
  • 200 hours Cross-Country (XC) Flight Time
  • 100 hours Night Flight Time
  • 75 hours of Instrument Flight Time
  • 25 Hours of Multi-Engine Flight Time

Rotor Transition Program Application

Helicopter pilots transitioning to fixed-wing flying are not subject to the same DCFA application requirements student without previous aviation experience are. Instead of taking our entrance exam and subjecting you to a number of other requirements, we collect RTP Applicant data using the form below, email you a quote and invite you to schedule a tour.
